Jaguar, the completely owned brand of Tata Motors, seems set to enthral the audience at Goodwood Revival as the company will re-enter the racing platform with its iconic C-type and D-type models. At the ceremony, the teams target to carry on their winning streak, which was achieved in 2012 at Le Mans Classic, Monaco Historique and Nürburgring AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix.

The race ready models of C-type and D-type are scheduled to perform in the gruesome fight for the Freddie March Memorial Trophy and Sussex Trophy, respectively. Besides, JD Classics, the official partner of Jaguar Cars in Jaguar Heritage Racing, will mark its presence at the event with Jaguar Mk. 7 saloon. The iconic model will be driven by Derek Hood, the owner of JD Classics, and Andy Wallace, Le Mans 24 hours racer, in St Mary’s Trophy race.

On the development, the Global Brand Director of Jaguar, Adrian Hallmark, quoted, “Goodwood Revival is unique and a world class event for collectors, drivers and enthusiasts of classic cars and heritage motor sport. It showcases some of the finest and most successful race cars ever built and I am proud that we are able to bring the rich heritage of Jaguar to life; both on track and as part of our bespoke displays. It is an excellent opportunity to celebrate Jaguar’s history, and a showcase for our enduring and distinctive brand of values of seductive design, innovative technology and sporting performance.”

Races planned for Goodwood Revival comprises an extraordinary mix of trained racers with highly potential seasoned historic drivers and thus, the driver of Jaguar Heritage Racing, Alex Buncombe, anticipates to witness a stiff competition at the well-known racing track of Southern England. At the entire weekend, Alex and John Young will be seen seated in ex-Juan Manuel Fangio C-type model, along with D-type model in racing specification.

In order to create a buzz around the event, a high resolution film has been shared at Jaguar YouTube, presented by Alex Buncombe. Moreover, the company has organised a static display for the audience at Earls Court Motor Show, wherein it will showcase C-type and XK 120 models.
