Limited Edition Maruti Suzuki Ertiga - A good catch this year

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been the country's favorite since its launch a while ago. The seven seater MUV has been a great pick for family outings as well as regular commuting within the city. Coming from the Maruti Suzuki production line, Ertiga has also earned the reputation for being highly fuel efficient, reliable and economical choice in its segment. Recently, Ertiga has achieved the 1,50,000 unit sales milestone, and to mark this special feat Maruti Suzuki has launched the limited edition variant of Ertiga at a starting price tag of about 6.75 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki has payed much attention to the safety factor with use of high tensile steel that has been positioned strategically at vital sections in the chassis for maximum rigidity and strength. The MPV is loaded with ABS and EBD system for complete control during sudden braking situations. Six of the occupants in the car are secured with 3-point ELR seatbelt, whereas the middle seat in the second row gets a 2-point lap belt. Moreover, the front occupants gets pre-tensioners and force limiters. The front seat passengers also gets SRS Airbags that provide with ample protection in case of a crash.

The Limited edition Ertiga has been launched in Petrol, Diesel and CNG variants. The diesel version is stated to be priced at about Rs. 7.34 Lakhs. Whereas the Petrol and CNG version are stated to be priced at about Rs. 6.75 Lakhs, and Rs. 8.05 Lakhs respectively. Statement released by the company states, “This is in line with the company's vision to offer product differentiation to customers who aspire for features over and above the product strengths of high fuel efficiency, interior comfort, ease of driving and flexi seating.”

Manohar Bhat, Vice-President for Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, said, "The new Ertiga Limited Edition, with a sleek chrome grille, plush interiors, aesthetically designed spoilers with classy body graphics and decals is a tasteful product. The additional features on the Ertiga Limited Edition highlight the company's focus on product differentiation for the customer. Overall, we have sold over 150,000 units in domestic market. Ertiga was the fastest to achieve this milestone in B segment. Customers have appreciated the Ertiga for its compact size, contemporary looks, ergonomic design and the flexibility of 5+2 seating.”

Technical specifications are expected to remain the same as the existing version. The petrol version shall be continued to be powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 95 Ps of power with 130 Nm of torque. Whereas, the diesel version is stated to be powered by 1248 cc DDiS Diesel engine that generates about 90 Ps of power with 200 Nm of torque. The CNG variant is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 82 Ps of power with 110 Nm of torque.
