Automobile fanatics have a lot to expect from car makers at the 2012-Model Arizona International Car Show to be held at the Phoenix Convention Centre in Arizona from Thursday, November 24 to Sunday, November 27, 2011. Covering around seven football fields worth of space at the Convention Centre, the International Car Show is expected to showcase more than 400 new cars and trucks.

Representing 150 dealers in greater Maricopa County, Valley Auto Dealers Association President, Knox Ramsey said, “When somebody comes down to our show, they can virtually look at every manufacturer in the marketplace today.” Ramsey further added, “There are no sales involved. It is meant to educate guests, as well as entertain them.” Concluding the statement, Ramsey said, “There will be a lot of new entries in the marketplace, cars that people have not seen before.”

The event is expected to unveil exciting new models from car brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce. Moreover, a pre-production version of the 2013 Ford Taurus will also be showcased at the event.

Among several models, car enthusiasts can also expect to see models like the new Mercedes-Benz SLK convertible, the redesigned Volkswagen Beetle, fuel-efficient Chevy Sonic and the Hyundai Veloster that has two doors on the passenger side and one door on the driver's side.

In addition to several models, another attraction of the International event is that it will have more “ride and drives” in comparison to other auto shows. According to Steve Freeman, Vice President of Motor Trend Auto Shows, which will be producing the show for Knox Ramsey's association, “Six manufacturers will be doing ride and drives. Over 50 vehicles will be available for test drives."

Freeman also mentioned that the Arizona event is an apt place for car manufacturers to conduct test drives on streets around the Convention Centre. This is primarily due to the mild weather in Phoenix during November and the Thanksgiving weekend, which results in lesser downtown traffic.

Thus, the Arizona International Car Show will not only bring forward the latest creations from auto brands but also give consumers a chance to enjoy a unique driving experience.
