Speaking at the première of Veneno Roadster, Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann said “We are honoured that Lamborghini was chosen to represent the Italian car industry in the UAE, as a perfect example of iconic Italian super sports cars, and that we have the opportunity to show the Veneno roadster for the first time in Abu Dhabi. The Lamborghini Veneno roadster is one of the world’s most exclusive cars with the most extraordinary performance."

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is a road legal car, which combines aerodynamic efficiency and powerful engine thrust to deliver a breath taking performance. In all, only nine units of the car will be manufactured, each carrying a whopping price of around 3.3 million Euros, excluding taxes. This car, showcased on the 240 metre ship in Abu Dhabi, featured a specially developed ‘Rosso Veneno' shade. However, buyers of Veneno Roadster would be given the choice of individualising the colour according to their preferences.

In terms of engine and performance, this car gets a 6.5-litre V12 engine that generates maximum power of 750 bhp, which is enough to accelerate the car from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds. This car has the capability to achieve a top speed of 355 kmph. The car comes equipped with a fast-shifting ISR transmission system that has five modes. Besides, Veneno Roadster gets a permanent all-wheel drive system, racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units.

The design of Veneno Roadster is based on a monocoque frame that has reinforced carbon fiber polymer. Almost all of parts given in exteriors are made from CFRP-based lightweight components. As told by the company, Veneno Roadster comes full circle on all safety and registration requirements across the globe. Some of the safety equipment given on the car include airbags and adapted Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) handling mechanism.

The use of carbon fiber in Veneno Roadster can also be spotted in the interiors of the car as the monocoque can be clearly seen around central tunnel and sills. The cockpit, headliner and seating parts of this superb sports car are woven with carbon fiber CarbonSkin. In order to reduce weight of this vehicle, the company has mainly relied on carbon fiber as even mats of the car have been made from it. Light bucket seats of Veneno Roadster are made of Lamborghini’s patent forged composite material.

Owing to the extensive use of carbon fiber material, Veneno Roadster weighs only 1490 kg as the forged carbon production method has brought down the kerb weight significantly. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster was docked in Abu Dhabi as part of trade mission tour of Middle East and Africa to promote trading of Italian goods. The iconic company, Lamborghini, was chosen to lead the Italian car industry in the trade mission as it has a strong market presence in the region.
