Lamborghini is expected to launch Huracan supercar in India during September and is likely to be priced around Rs 3.5 crore to Rs 3.8 crore. Lamborghini kept an exquisite showcase of the car in India earlier this year post which dealers received an overwhelming response from customers in India. While launch is expected in September, deliveries are likely to commence from end of September.
Dealers have confirmed that the bookings have surpassed the allotted quota for domestic market by Lamborghini. Unveiled globally at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, Lamborghini Huracan has been an instant hit with around 700 bookings received within a month internationally. The beast is powered by an athletic 5.2 litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine that is capable of developing a towering power output of 618 PSat 8,250 RPM along with a peak torque of 560 Nm.
A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is mated to the robust V10 engine, this makes Huracan first Lamborghini car to feature this gearbox. Lamborghini claims that the mighty powertrain can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph within 3.2 seconds and attains 200 kmph of speed from nill within 9.9 seconds. A top speed of more than 325 kmph is attained by the supercar. Lamborghini Huracan comes equipped with an all wheel drive system however much powerful and lighter rear wheel drive version is likely to be rolled out by next year.
The supercar will compete with the likes of Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 Turbo/GT2/GT3, Audi R8 V10+ and Aston Martin Vanquish in its segment.
