British car marquee Jaguar has officially proclaimed unveiling of XE saloon on September 8, 2014 ahead of its pubic exhibition in October at Paris Motor Show. Previously XE was expected to make its global debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, however Jaguar now plans on launching the saloon prior to Paris Motor Show in London. The saloon is also expected to be launched in India, if rumours are to be believed the saloon could make its way into domestic market by next year. Globally the saloon will compete with the likes of BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and few of the other vehicles.
Sources have revealed that the new XE will get an aluminium double wishbone front suspension that has been borrowed from the F-Type. Rear will also come with an intrinsic link set up that will enable to provide an acrid response and handling experience to the customers.
The 2015 XE will be the first mode from Jaguar’s stable to come equipped with the newly developed electric power-assisted steering damping. Jaguar claims that their engineers have worked meticulously to enhance grip and develop an All Surface Progress Control that will result in improved traction of the rear-wheel drive sedan hence making it viable to drive on erratic surfaces.
Underpinning the lightweight iQ [Al] platform, the saloon will take design cues from XF and XJ sedans. Jaguar will offer the XE sedan in both petrol and diesel guise and it is being expected that engine configuration will include petrol and diesel Ingnesium engines.
