Jaguar XKR-S, the sportiest car of the British car maker Jaguar, is expected to be launched in two new variants in the Indian market including a sedan and a convertible version.
As per recent media reports, the new Jaguar XKR-S will come powered by a 5.0L supercharged engine which will be capable of delivering an enormous peak power of 550 bhp along with a massive torque of 502 lb-ft.
At present, the Jaguar XKR-S model is available in only a coupe version in the Indian market. There will be no major technological differences in the upcoming and existing variants of XKR-S, and there will be only a few cosmetic changes such as new top cover and doors.
The XKR model carries all aluminum body, due to which the company will not have to make major changes and upgrades while manufacturing the new convertible version of the car.
It is to be mentioned here that the Jaguar & Land Rover are British subsidiaries of Tata Motors which the company had acquired in year 2008. The erstwhile loss making British subsidiaries are now performing considerably well and registering high profit for their new parent Tata Motors.
