      Hyundai launches a new Blue Link Android-based smartwatch app that can remotely start cars

      Android has found a strong spot for itself in the smartphone segment and with an aim of further penetrating into the market, Hyundai has reportedly planned on installing the Blue Link android-based smartwatch app on badged vehicles. The device allows users to lock, unlock and even start the vehicle via the app. Users can tap on the app or just use a voice command to even locate the vehicle from a crowded parking lot.

      Owners can simply tap the screen and say ‘lock my car’ or say ‘start the engine’ and the app on the watch shall send instruction signals to the vehicle to perform necessary action. Sources have indicated that the first wide usage may be found on 2016 Veloster and Elantra GT.
