Hyundai has been in the news lately for the recently launched Elite i20 hatchback. The Elite i20 from Hyundai has been launched at a lucrative price tag starting from Rs. 4.89 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). Hyundai, the Korean brand with immense potential has been to toughest contender to India's top selling brand Maruti Suzuki. Recently, Hyundai had showcased its upcoming ix25 at the Beijing Motor Show. When launched, the Hyundai ix25 can be strong competitor to the likes for Ford's Ecosport and Renault's Duster.
As of now much technical details for Indian version of Hyundai ix25 is not known. It is believed that the Indian version may be powered by 1.6 and 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. The Indian version may also receive the automatic transmission along with the manual mode as seen in the Chinese market. Unconfirmed reports also hint on a possibility that the Indian version may also receive a four wheel drive option. Pricing aspect is not known for now, but it is believed to be offered in Rs. 8 – 11 Lakhs segment.
Designing aspect has always been smart with Hyundai. The upcoming Hyundai ix25 shall carry the family legacy and shall be based on renowned Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. Tackling uneven roads shall no more be a problem on the upcoming Hyundai ix25 as the vehicle shall feature height of over 4 Meters to render it with good clearance figures. The redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, and black and beige color scheme is surely expected to catch the fancy of many buyers. Moreover the interiors, sport a large touchscreen infotainment system with reverse parking assist. Loaded with interesting set of features the Hyundai ix25 is surely expected to fair well in the compact SUV competition in India.
