Staying upfront with times, the Korean automaker Hyundai, has been working on introducing touchscreen systems in Hyundai i20, Active i20 and Verna. The Elite i20 may be the first one receive it, followed by Active i20 and later in the Verna. The vehicles may get 7-inch LCD unit that is embedded with Bluetooth system that is also present in the European trim of Hyundai i20.
However, the company has reportedly decided to do away with features like leather wrapped gearknob and steering. Additionally the auto-up function, auto-up driver side widow function and boot lamp function also have been given a miss. The company may however offer the vehicle for existing pricing. With the fresh upgrades, the company expects to emerge as a strong competitor to the likes of Honda City, Jazz, Tata Bolt and Zest that have been performing well in terms of sales in the market.
