South Korean auto maker, Hyundai has launched Grand i10 hatchback in Indonesian market, the hatchback is being offered only in petrol variant in the country. The Grand i10 range will be available for sale in Indonesia at a price ranging between 139.9 million Rupiah (Rs. 7.01 lakh) and 181.9 million Rupiah (Rs. 9.11 lakhs). From the Hyundai range, Grand i10 is of the highly exported models that is sent to countries like South Africa, Bolivia and South America.
The hatchback will be produced at the company’s manufacturing unit in India located in Chennai. Indonesia-spec Grand i10 does not vary much with the Indian version as far as looks are concerned. On the exterior front, the Indonesia-spec hatchback will get LED daytime running lights embedded in the fog lamp housings unlike the Indian variant.
Hyundai has equipped aplenty features inside the Indonesia bound Grand i10 as compared to the Indian version. Among the additional equipment offered on Indonesia-spec Grand i10, a 2-DIN touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth, DVD and MP3 compatibility along with navigation and internet support.
Under the hood, there is a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine with a displacement of 1,248 cc that is capable of producing a maximum power of 87 PS along with a top torque of 11.2 kgm. The power and torque output engendered by the Indonesia-spec model is a tad more than the Indian version. A five-speed manual gearbox along with a 4-speed automatic tranny has been put on offer.
