      Nissan Sunny tweaked version expected to launch in July first week

      Nissan Sunny facelift is expected to go on sale in India in the first week of July. The sedan was exhibited in India at the 12th edition of Delhi motor show and it sported various cosmetic touch ups on the outside and a host of revivifications inside the cabin. Among the cosmetic upgrades on exterior front, the new Sunny sedan will come with a revised front fascia featuring a new chrome grille, front bumper has also been modified equipped with new fog lamp affixed with chrome embellishments.

      New head lights feature the flexuous boomerang design adding to the overall look of the sedan. Side profile has been retained as it is except for the turn indicators in the outside rear view mirrors. Changes made to the rear include a revamped bumper with black inserts enabling decreased visual bulk.

      Inside the cabin we will see some modifications and additional features. The new centre console with piano black finish comes equipped with a 6.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system, new leather upholstery renders an upmarket look to the cabin, features like Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a 2-DIN audio system and an automatic climate control are also embedded inside the cabin. Apart from the above mentioned changes, new Sunny will also offer a multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry, start/stop button among others. Preeminent safety features like Anti-Lock-Braking-System and driver side airbag will be offered as standard.

      2014 Nissan Sunny will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options, the petrol variants will come powered with a 1.5 litre gasoline engine that produces a top power and torque output of 100 PS at 6,000 RPM and 134 Nm at 4,000 RPM respectively. Diesel trims will be housed with a 1.5 litre K9K diesel powertrain engendering a peak power and torque output of 86 PS at 3,750 RPM and 200 Nm at 2,000 RPM respectively. A five speed manual gearbox will be equipped in both petrol and diesel variants, however the petrol trims could come with a X-Tronic CVT gearbox.
