Hyundai Eon, the much awaited small car will mark its debut in the Indian auto market on 13th October. The company is planning to launch the car just two weeks before the biggest festival of the year Diwali, so that it’s new entrant can receive a strong opening in the Indian auto market. The Eon will be Hyundai’s cheapest offering in the Indian auto market and the company is expecting to drive high volume sales in the country.
Powered by an 814CC, 3 - cylinder engine, the all new Hyundai Eon will be shelved in the price segment of Rs 2.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh, where its major competitors will include the likes of Maruti Alto, Tata Nano and Chevrolet Spark.
The car will be launched in petrol version only and will be having a range of features that have never been seen in this series of cars. These features include tubeless tires, disc brakes on the front and drum on the rear, hub caps, 2 tone beige interiors, parking brake, 2 spoke steering wheel, fixed head rest, 2 speed front wiper and washer, heater with 4 speed blower, power outlet for mobile phone charging, gear shift indicator, and foldable rear seat, armrest, etc.
Moreover, the car will be blessed with all new fluidic design signature as its elder sibling; the same new age design language has been used in recently launched Hyundai Verna Fluidic.
