The CB Trigger from Honda is a daily commuter bike, which has quite a bit of similarity with the Indonesian best-seller CB150R Streetfire. It is based on the Unicorn platform and is here to replace the Dazzler, which did not find a firm foothold in India. The Honda Trigger will meet the demands of young riders who look for a stylish commuter bike. Apart from that, it may also cater to the daily requirements of the average middle-aged customers.

Honda has kept the engine intact from the previous 1500 cc models as it is proven and has find its way after a series of gruesome tests. It is capable of producing 14 PS of power, which is quite the standard in this segment. It is capable to click 103 kilometres per hour as well as scores good on mileage. Under moderate circumstance, it is capable to run 67 kilometres per litre of fuel. Due to its increased fuel efficiency, it is a good bike to take to work every day. Power generation is smooth and the torque gives that exact feel of a Honda bike. There might be some fluke vibrations but definitely, it is not something to worry about.

Comfort while riding the bike is among the top aspects that customers check out while buying. Incidentally, Honda scores high in this aspect. Seats are wide and are optimal for short rides. Just like other Honda models, the quality of ride is good and plush, without being a bit over cushioned. The vehicle has been so designed that the ride is a comfortable one even with a pillion. The weight is evenly balanced so that the engine and the vehicle perform well without many vibrations even when riding with a pillion.

Though, the bike as expected to have ABS, Honda launched this model without this system. Instead, it has offered the CBS (Combined Braking System). It utilises a delay valve, which activates the central piston of the front tri-piston calliper when the rear brake is applied. The front brake, on the other hand, has no electronics associated with it and performs simply on the basis of mechanics. The braking system is quite commendable and imparts great controls even to the most novice riders. Having said that, it is better not to expect that the Trigger will read the type of surfaces on roads and offer a customised braking pattern. Yet, the bike performs well even on the most challenging roads. Though, it is slightly aggressively priced, it competes against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 150 and is among the best bets in this segment.
