As per reports, Hondais going tolaunch the BR-V on the May 5. Originally unveiled in India at the Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi, the BR-V (Bold Runabout Vehicle) is actually based on the Honda Mobilio.
This sporty looking seven-seater will be made at Honda’s Rajasthan plant and sources reveal that the car could have a sub-Rs10 lakh starting price. Expect equipment levels on the BR-V to mirror other cars from the Honda portfolio, however, good quality of interiors makes the cabin feel more premium.
Honda’s BR-V will be powered by Mobilio’s 1.5-litre petrol and diesel mills albeit in a different state of tune. These engines will be coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox and the petrol could also see the inclusion of an optional CVT transmission. The BR-V is characterised by the huge chrome grille, projector headlamps, large air dam and the angular bumpers. Large diameter alloys, tall roof rails and protruding wheel arches lend the BR-V an unmistakable sporty stance.
When launched, this seven-seater Honda crossover will compete with the likes of the Nissan Terrano, Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster.
