Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) had revealed its 2015 motorcycle, which will be used in the MotoGP Championship. Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, the Repsol Honda riders, were present at the event to pull the covers off their new bike for the 2015 championship. Notably, the energy drink Red Bull has joined the teams as a major sponsor. Red Bull was already the personal sponsor for both the MotoGP riders, but now it takes place on bike’s mudguard and the belly pan as well. Coming to its design section, the bike has got a major change in the long history of Honda and Repsol.
Shuhei Nakamoto, Executive Vice-President, HRC said that they were very grateful to Astra Honda for hosting the bike’s event on the beautiful island of Bali and also thanked Repsol, Red Bull and all other other partners and sponsors for their support in building up the bike and team. Also, he said it was good to see Marc and Dani in a positive mood and relaxed just after the winter break and is eagerly waiting to get back on with their bikes. The practice session is starting from February 4th, 2015. He also hoped that the test will be productive and can begin the season in the best way possible.
Interestingly, Honda, this year also, continued its relationship and partnership with Repsol, after celebrating its 20th anniversary last season and remains the longest running sponsor to be with a factory team in the history of the motorcycle world championship. Last season, the Repsol Honda team won the Honda’s Triple Crown in 4 years and second in succession. The MotoGP rider, Marq Marquez won consequently the first ten races of the year with HRC.
Expressing his views on the same, Marq said "It’s been a long and busy Winter break, and now I’m looking forward to starting the season! It’s great to be able to present our new bikes in Indonesia, together with our partner Astra Honda, it’s such a beautiful backdrop. Dani Pedrosa said "It’s been really nice, and something different to have our Team Presentation here in Bali, so thanks to Astra Honda! It never stops to amaze me how passionate the fans are for our sport in this part of the World.”
