      Road safety has been of vital importance across the globe. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), in its attempt to stand true to its corporate responsibility, has inaugurated its second traffic training park in Delhi's well known Baba Kharak Singh Marg. The initiative promotes road safety awareness among two-wheeler riders from the Delhi / NCR Region. The event was honored with the presence of Mrs. Vimla Mehra- IPS (Special Commissioner – Administration, Delhi Police) , Mr Muktesh Chander – IPS (Special Commissioner – Traffic, Delhi Police), Mr. Anil Shukla (Joint Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Delhi Police), Mr. Sharad Agarwal (Additional Commissioner of Police – Traffic (Ops.), Delhi Police), Mr. Keita Muramatsu (President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Y S. Guleria (Vice President- Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.).

      Speaking more on the occassion, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Vice President-Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, said, “For us, most overwhelming was the enthusiastic response of Delhi women who came forward and enrolled themselves to learn 2 wheeler safe riding program. From 18 year old college students to 45 plus home-makers and working women, over 2100 females enrolled in our Delhi traffic park. To facilitate the same Honda has launched Dream Riding – a safe riding initiative exclusively for females.”

      The training park is spread across 1172 square meters, where skilled safety instructors from Honda will promote road safety education for all age groups starting right from children aged 5 years to adults. The campaign shall also lay special focus on new and female riders. Some of the key highlights of this event are - Expert Honda Safety instructors (female & male) to educate new riders on correct riding techniques, Honda’s Proprietary riding trainers help people above 13 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on road. The virtual experience significantly increases rider’s ability to predict & react to traffic hazards. The same can also provide instructions in Hindi language, Imported CRF 50 motorcycle aids 9-12 year kids grasp safe riding concept through practical riding, and Exchange of road safety know-how – a boon for many existing and new riders.

      Honda
