      Honda has Aggressive plans for its Worldwide Operations

      The new CEO of Honda Takahiro Hachigo has announced that the company has its new plans ready for the six-region worldwide operations. Also the announcement was made for the new models in the pipeline for the company.

      According to Takahiro, Honda would improve the matrix management system in all six regions so that the production capacity is increased for all the regions. The production capacity would be increased to improve sales, purchase functions and manufacture customised region-specific models. The headquarters will also be suitably upgraded for better relationships across the entire region. The next gen Civic will be built in Europe exclusively and will be exported in the US. On the other hand, the Jazz will be manufactured in Japan and exported to America and Europe.

      When it comes to the product development, Honda Civic is expected to get a significant line-up of downsized turbo-charged mills as well as a new platform. The CEO also said that the mainline products like CR-V and Accord will undergo a major change in the future. It is expected that both the cars will be up to the mark as far as the technological aspects are concerned. Also, their styling is to be significantly modified and would characterise modern aspects. The CEO said that the successor to FCX Clarity will be launched in the Japanese market by the end of Financial Year 2015-16.

      Also, Nigeria has become the first African country to assemble Honda cars. Honda Accord will be assembled in the country for the first time in July. Takahiro also said that the company would begin deliveries for the HF120 jet engines later in 2015. Honda is expected to launch the Accord in India during the summers of 2016. Initially, it will come only with the petrol engine with a slight chance of hybrid powertrain being launched. A new seven-seater small SUV will also be developed as the BR-V and is expected to debut at Auto Expo 2016. It will be based on Mobilio platform and engines and will probably be launched next year.
