Based on Honda’s ‘Xciting H Design!!!’ design philosophy, the BR-V features projector headlamps, large badge on the front grille, heavily contoured bonnet, silver scuff plates and fog lamps with chrome surroundings on the front end. It also gets a slopping roofline, silver roof rails, new sporty alloys, chrome door handles, tapered A-pillar, and plastic cladding on all sides. Other design features include 3D LED taillights, silver scuff plates in the rear and a high ground clearance. Similar to the Amaze compact sedan and Mobilio MPV, the BR-V will be based on the Brio platform.

The India-bound Honda BR-V will be available with two engine options - a 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel – that also do duty to the new City sedan. While the former puts out a maximum power of 116.3bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,600rpm, the latter offers 98.6bhp at 3,600rpm and 200Nm at 1,750rpm. According to reports, the top-end variant of the crossover might be offered with electronic stability control (ESC) system.
