In terms of its sales volume, Hero MotoCorp is now working on its new and revised models to thrive in the rural market. From latest statistics, it has been seen that Hero MotoCorp had managed to stock out 1031520 units last year during the months of October and November. And this time around, this two-wheeler manufacturer touched a spectacular sales figure of 625420 units and accordingly, witnessed 18.17 per cent overall increase, firmly on track to exceed numbers achieved in 2012.

Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) was quoted as saying, "We have had record numbers in October selling over 6.25 lakh units, the first time that a two-wheeler company has crossed the 6 lakh mark in a month. With festivities continuing in November, we expect the momentum to continue". He further commented on sales growth prospects, "Last year we had a combined sales of over a million units in October and November. This year we are expecting to increase handsomely over that number."

Dua, who is extremely hopeful on the growth of upcoming models, said: "The refreshed versions of our existing models have been doing well.” He also announced the new Splendor iSmart that is soon going to be introduced in the Indian auto market. Interestingly, it is the Pleasure two-wheeler, which has a stop-start technology incorporated with braking system. According to Dua's marketing experience, the launch of this scooter would increase the company's sales figure. On this note, he further added, "The rural market has seen a lot of traction due to good monsoon and cash availability. It is out pacing the urban market by growing at about 9-10 per cent compared to about 5 per cent for the latter."

In terms of rural market share, Hero MotoCorp in the previous year, has seen a rise of 48 per cent over 47 per cent. If we talk in terms of sales growth perspective as a whole for the current fiscal year, then the renowned two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp were low till the month of September but by the closing of 2013, an increase of 3 per cent was seen in October. Apparently, the figure shows an incredible rise for this giant two-wheeler manufacturer and thus, successful launch of its refreshed models in the near future is highly anticipated.
