Indian subsidiary of iconic American bike manufacturer Harley-Davidson has inaugurated its first independent showroom in Lucknow, which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Called United Harley-Davidson, this dealership is situated in the posh area of Gomti Nagar. The American giant is expanding quickly in India and the tally of independent dealerships is now 18 throughout the country.
Speaking on the launch, Rajiv Vohra, Harley-Davidson India’s Director for Sales and Dealer Development, said, “We wish to congratulate United Harley-Davidson on their new Harley-Davidson facility. Our dealer network in India has grown steadily over the last five years, and has welcomed thousands of owners and enthusiasts across the country into the brand.”
Adding further, United Harley-Davidson’s Dealer Principal, Dilmohan Singh, said “We are excited to bring Harley-Davidson to Lucknow. United Harley-Davidson will serve as a destination for all motorcycling enthusiasts in Uttar Pradesh who wish to experience the premium lifestyle that Harley-Davidson is known for world over.”
Harley-Davidson began operating in India in the year 2010 and since then around 8000 units have been sold. Slowly and steadily, the bike maker is carving a niche for itself in the country and experts feel it could go a long way in the future. The purchasing power of customers is increasing day by day and Harley-Davidson is likely to be the first choice of most who want a high-end bike.
