      Ford India names Vinay Piparsania as the new Marketing and Sales Head

      Ford India has appointed Vinay Piparsania as its new Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service who will carry the baton of revitalising the company's promotion campaign in the country. Piparsania will report to Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India and is slated to start operations from September 1, 2012 at Ford India's Gurgaon office. Considering the qualification background of Piparsania, he is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and Tulane University, USA.

      Piparsania, who is expected to lead the charge in the departments of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, will bolster the company's target of becoming a dominator in the Indian auto industry. He will run the shots of the company's proposed plan of launching over eight new models in the Indian market before 2015. His other responsibilities would be to perform in-depth study of the Indian auto sector and ensure that the American car giant proves its mettle in its after sales and service network.

      Expressing his views at Piparsania's new position, Boneham quoted, “We are very pleased to welcome Vinay back to Ford India. His extensive marketing experience along with the rich regional perspective that he has gained from his various positions across markets in the Asia Pacific and Africa region will surely help us go further with our brand and business in India.”

      Vinay Piparsania has run the show for Ford India in establishing its dealership network across the length and breadth of the country since his joining with Ford India in 1996 as General Manager, Sales. In his next role as Vice President, Marketing, Sales, Service and External Affairs, Piparsania was instrumental in managing the launch of Ford's flagship products in the country like Endeavour, Classic SXi and Fusion.

      Piparsania has also served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales in Ford Group, Philippines where he regulated the launch and development of new Ford Ranger, Ford Focus and Ford Mustang. As a part of his duties, he has also headed sales, production and distributing planning in 12 APA markets and has also served as the Director of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa.
