The Italian automaker launched the updated Punto Evo with improved looks and features in 2014. Though the engine options remained unchanged. Interestingly, the company is now planning to launch the performance-oriented version of the Punto Evo hatchback with the highly acclaimed T-Jet engine.

The performance oriented Punto Evo will be powered by a 1.4-litre, turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 114PS and a peak torque of 207Nm. The Punto T-jet is likely to be quicker than the Linea T-Jet due to the lower Kerb weight of the hatchback. It will be the most powerful hatchback under Rs. 10 lakh in the country, which was held by the Fiat Palio 1.6.
