      DSK Motowheels is likely to offer 7 new bikes by July 2015

      DSK Motowheels, offering Benelli's bikes in the Indian market, is expected to soon introduce 7 new models. A report from AutoCar states that the auto maker will launch Benelli BN 302, BN 600I, BN 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130R in February 2015 and are currently undergoing through ARAI's testing. Along with these models, the company will be introducing BN 251/ TNT 250 and the Blackster models in July 2015. Sources reveal that both of these bikes have been developed by Keeway with engineering inputs shared from Benelli. Notably, both Keeway and Benelli are owned by Qianjiang, a Chinese venture.

      Coming to the technical specifications of these bikes, the Benelli BN 251/TNT 250 will come equipped with a 249 cc engine, churning out 24.2 bhp of maximum power with 21 Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the Blackster cruiser will also get a 249 cc engine, however its power output will be slightly less at around 19 bhp with 18.7 Nm of torque.

      In order to meet the expected demand of the Indian auto market, the company is planning to start a new shift at its existing plant. Currently, the auto maker produces 10 bikes in a day, resulting to around 3500 bikes in a year, in a single shift. Along with, the company is also planning to set up a new production unit, which is anticipated to take around a couple of years to get operational.
