Nissan will launch thefaceliftversion ofVersasedan on April 16,2014 at the New York Motor Show. The starting price for the newVersain US market is $11,990USD. The 2015 NissanVersaSedan is available in four trims–VersaSedan S (offered in 5MT and 4AT versions),VersaSedan S Plus (Xtroniconly),VersaSedanSV(Xtroniconly) andVersaSedanSL(Xtroniconly).
Nissan Versa is sold in India by the name of Sunny sedan which was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo donning a new avatar. Ahead of new Versa’s official launch, the company has revealed details regarding the sedan. Among the new additions in theVersasedan, reworked front and rear facades, an array of tweaks inside the cabin and few other revivification are included. Preeminent changes can be spotted on the newVersalike an aggressive front look, bigger head lamps and chrome plated front grille. Besides these changes, exteriors flaunt a new fog light finisher design and new rear design. New side mirror design has been bestowed onSVandSLtrims,SLtrim will also come with integrated turn signals. A set of 15 inch V-spoke aluminium alloy wheel design will be proffered on SV trims.
Interiors have been also been spruced up, a reworked meter display with LED display, a new steering wheel with audio andBluetoothHands Free Phone System controls are some of changes made inside the cabin. Other features like AM/FM/CD audio system with standardauxiliary-in and Radio Data System (RDS), standard assist grips, a passenger-side vanity mirror and new seat fabric are available on S and S plus trims of the sedan. Under the SL technology package various advanced features likeNissanConnectwith Navigation and Mobile Apps system, a 5.8 inch colour touch-screen display , Nissan voice recognition for audio and navigation,Sirius XM Traffic and Sirius XM Travel link are offered.
2015 Nissan Versa sedan is housed by a 1.6 litre HR16DE, four cylinder engine that generates high power output of 109 Hp at 6,000 RPM along with 107 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 RPM.Versawill be made available in three transmissions including a 5-speed manual transmission, a 4-speed automatic (S models only) and a next-generation Xtronic transmission with D-mode step shift programming. New Versa promises to deliver a high fuel economy of 31 mpg in city conditions and 40 mpg on highways, when combined with Xtronic gearbox, the sedan can run up to 35 mpg. On the other hand variants equipped with five speed manual transmission are claimed to yield 27mpg in city, 36 mpg on highways and 30 mpg combined. AT trims are capable of running up to 26 mpg in city conditions, 35 mpg on highway and 30 mpg combined.
