Ahead of its launch in June, the much talked about Datsun Redigo has arrived at dealerships. Bookings for the Redigo has been open for a while now at a token amount of Rs 5,000. Based on the Kwid platform, the Redigo is expected to be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh.
Under the hood, the Redigo will be powered by an 800cc petrol engine which generates 54bhp at 5,678 rpm and 72Nm of torque at 4,388 rpm. Mated to a five-speed manual transmission, the vehicle claims to return a fuel efficiency figure of about 25.17 kmpl. An AMT option would be introduced at a later date depending on the demand for the same. As for safety, it comes with a driver’s side airbag.
The Datsun Redigo will be offered in five shades - white, silver, grey, red and lime green. The car gets a ground clearance of about 185mm, thereby making it the highest in its class. In terms of features, the car gets LED daytime running lights, power steering, music system with CD/USB/AUX, front power windows and AC.
