If you are looking for an SUV in the range of Rs. 20 lakhs, and are thinking of settling on some random car, think again. If you wait a couple of weeks, you will end up choosing from a few more opportunities, which would include the new Ford Endeavour 2015.
Ford’s Global Development Team told the team of Philippines’ Industriya about the stipulation of unveiling the 2015 Ford Endeavour on November 14, 2014. Ford Endeavour, which is called Ford Everest in America, is a full-packed Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with a strong body-on-frame construction.
Only speculations can be made over the exact specifications that would come with this SUV, but it is expected that instead of the conventional leaf spring suspension, a modern coil-spring suspension system would be set up to absorb the shock on the rear wheels. Other expectations laid down over this SUV include a 2.2L four-cylinder diesel engine or a 3.2L five-cylinder diesel engine, but for the Indian markets, this engine would be the same as that of the presently outgoing Ford Endeavour, that is 2.5L and 3.0L diesel engines.
The variations in the exteriors and interiors of the SUV include a whole new trapezoidal grille design along with some major variations done in the interiors. An eight-inch touchscreen with Ford’s new SYNC2 multimedia system may be included in this SUV.
Though the car is going to be unveiled in the mid of November, 2014, the Indian buyers will have to wait for some more time. Ford, which was able to make Endeavour a huge success in the Indian market, is expecting a large number of Indians to opt for Ford Endeavour 2015. This vehicle is expected to be launched with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 22 lakhs.
