Popular British two-wheeler manufacturer and cult brand Triumph Motorcycles, which is relatively new in the Indian market, has collaborated with Castrol India to form a technology pact. Not only is Castrol India going to market the product portfolio of Triumph, it will play a part in co-engineering lubricants for models to be launched in the future by the latter.

Industry experts have said that this sort of alliance is going to benefit both Triumph and Castrol, given the cumulative goodwill that will be created out of the popularity of both brands. Triumph is expected to derive more out of this since it is new in the Indian market and needs to lay a solid platform for facilitating success in the future. Associations between foreign firms and Indian companies is nothing new in the auto market and is a proven strategy that has been put to use by KTM (Bajaj) and Honda (Hero) in the past.
