      Cars with 5 Stars from Euro NCAP

      Euro NCAP is the European car assessment program for rating safe cars for the passengers according the new European norms. 2011 Suzuki Swift has received 5-star rating from Euro NCAP in its crash test. The passenger compartment remained stable during the frontal impact and the dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of both driver and passenger. The new Swift attained a score of 94 per cent for adult occupant protection, 82 per cent for child; 62 per cent for pedestrian and 71 per cent for the provision of safety assistance devices with an overall total of 83 per cent. This total exceeded the score of 75 per cent required to achieve the 5 star rating set by Euro NCAP. Suzuki will showcase the new 2011 Swift model at the upcoming Paris Auto show in October 2010.

       

      Apart from the Suzuki Swift, Citroen’ new C4 managed to achieve a five star rating, with a score of 97% in the ‘Safety assist’ category - reportedly the highest score for any vehicle of its type. The model will be presented at the Paris Auto Show this October.

       

      Honda CRZ and Hyundai ix35 also received 5 star ratings with Honda CRZ’s pedestrian protection result continue to display high scores achieved by recently tested Hondas.
