BYD India introduced its first electric MPV, the e6 in the Indian market in 2021 for commercial buyers. A year later, the brand started accepting bookings from private buyers for the same. Then, the Chinese automaker launched the Atto 3 in India in November 2022. And now on the occasion of its 16th anniversary in India, the brand has stated that it has delivered over 700 units of the Atto 3 across various cities in India.
Speaking on the achievement, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President, Electric Passenger Vehicles, BYD India, said, “We are happy to celebrate this milestone in India. As of February, we have delivered over 700 units of BYD ATTO 3 to various cities in India in just two months and have received very positive responses from customers. We believe more and more customers will choose our premium electric SUV. As always, we are fully committed to the market, our customers and our dealer network.”
At present, BYD is present in 21 cities across the country with around 24 showrooms. Moreover, the carmaker aims to expand its presence to 53 touchpoints by the end of this year.
