BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle brand of German automotive marque BMW, has announced to launch its 2013 F700GS, the all-round enduro bike in the Indian market. The upcoming motorbike will replace the company's current offering F650GS, which was launched last year in the country.

The 2013 BMW F700GS, the direct successor to the 2012 F650GS, is an authentic on/off road motorbike, which has been incorporated with an improved engine and shorter gear transmission ratio that will ensure improve driving pleasure with top-class handling. The versatile motorbike will be marketed in the country as Completely Built Units (CBU) in the country and is expected to carry a price tag around Rs. 10 lacs.

The upcoming Beamer houses a 798cc parallel twin four-stroke powertrain, borrowed from F650GS, which generates a peak power-torque of 75 bhp and 76 Nm, respectively. The powerplant incorporated in the bike is mated to a six-speed manual transmission system, which drives the motor through a chain.

The all-rounder 2012 F700GS has all the trimmings of a performance oriented bike and is also laced with top quality security features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as a standard feature, while Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) and Automatic Stability Control (ASC) among the optionals. The motorbike's light weight and reduced seat height gives it superb handling and manoeuvring characteristics.

BMW engineers have worked diligently in giving the bike extremely masculine appearance with the new windshield, huge dials, smoke-tinted turn indicators and a LED rear light among other interesting additions. The motorbike also features telescopic and mono shock absorbers at the front and rear ends, respectively.

The 2012 BMW F700GS will be the company's flagship product in the sports bike segment of Indian market and its presence will surely leave the bike aficionados gasping for breath with its anticipation.
