      BMW, Mercedes and Audi showcase their India bound products at Frankfurt

      After a series of announcements by a number of leading car makers to launch and showcase their future cars and concepts at Germany’s largest Auto Expo, the Frankfurt Auto Expo kick-started on Tuesday with a bang. The mega automotive event is hosting as many as 1000 exhibitors from more than 35 countries of the world. More than 80 premiers will take place at the show in the two weeks coming ahead.

      The auto show at Frankfurt is of a considerable significance for the Indian market as many of the cars which are being showcased there will be hitting Indian roads in the coming months. In fact, the top three luxury car makers in the Indian market, BMW, Mercedes and Audi are displaying a series of their future cars at this event.

      BMW is displaying its new ‘i’ series of cars including i3 and i8 at the show. It will also display the new generation of its Mini brand of cars, which are expected to hit the Indian roads by the next year. Mercedes Benz is displaying its new age B-Class model which is scheduled to hit Indian roads in year 2011. Both BMW Mini and Mercedes Benz B-Class will be launched in the lower price segments, taking the competition in the country to a new level. Joining the battle, Audi’s A3 was also showcased at the show, which will compete with above two rivals in India.
