As per the recent media reports, the much awaited starting range sedan, Nissan Sunny, is all set to debut in the Indian auto market on 20th September. The Nissan Sunny is already available in a number of world markets such as China, where it has been appreciated for its futuristic looks and power packed performance.

The Nissan Sunny model was unveiled in the Indian market last month at a small ceremony held in Mumbai, where the company said that it will launch the car in the Indian market in upcoming festive season. But now it seems like, the company is in a hurry to launch the car as it has forwarded the launch to mid September from earlier planned time-line of October.

It is to be mentioned here that Nissan Sunny model is speculated to be launched in the country with a new name other than Sunny, as it has already been registered and used in some other products as in 50 cc moped Sunny.

The Nissan Sunny model will come powered by a 1.5L petrol engine initially, which is capable of delivering a peak power of 99 bhp along with a maximum torque of 134 Nm. The car is also expected to be launched in a diesel version after analyzing the response for its petrol version in the country. The car would deliver a high mileage of 16.95 km per liter.

The new Sunny sedan is speculated to be launched in the segment of sub Rs 7 lakh where it will be fighting for space with the likes of Ford Fiesta, Honda City and Toyota Etios.
