There has been an official release by the BMW Group regarding the overall sales till date. According to the reports, the overall statistics show that the sales figures of BMW, Rolls Royce and MINI have risen by a margin of 5.3 per cent in September. When delved further into the statistics, the numbers reflect that 199799 vehicles were sold and the combined sales witnessed an up rise to 1.53 million with 6.53 per cent during the first nine months of the year.
When the individual statistics were considered, it reflected that the sales of BMW X5 have hiked by 34.2 per cent this year. The number of models sold was 104997 for the new X5, which was assembled at the company’s manufacturing plant at Greer. Incidentally, the Upstate factory is the only manufacturer of a number of the trademark X models of the German automobile giant, from where the cars are exported worldwide.
The sales in the month of September were particularly high for BMW, which showed a growth of 6.1 per cent to a huge 167584 models. According to the reports released by the officials, the global sales rose by 9.1 per cent to nearly 1.3 million vehicles till September.
According to the reports, the most important contribution to the sales figure has been done by the United States of America. Approximately, the total sales figures for BMW as well as MINI have touched 275779, which came out to be 5.2 per cent.
Even as the success stories continue in the United States, the deliveries of MINI and BMW models in Europe were also a source of good news for the manufacturer. The total sales figures rose to 99585 units in September, touching seven per cent. The sales till September from the beginning of the year have increased by a fair margin of 3.4 per cent to nearly 662836, as per the statistics revealed by officials.
