Since last five years Chevrolet Beat has been one of the most selling and popular models offered by GM. In U.S. the compact hatchback witnessed 10 per cent rise in sales on YoY basis. As the demand surged, Indian arm of GM commenced shipping Beat with India being the manufacturing hub. GM India manufactures Beat at its Talengaon manufacturing unit from where the hatchback is exported to countries like Chile and South America. The company is yet contemplating on the countries to export made in India Beat.

In India, diesel variant of Beat is more in demand due to its claimed excellent fuel economy. Mostly young buyers opt for Beat, apart from its excellent fuel economy, customers in India and overseas markets have also appreciated the technology it comes equipped with.
