      Blaupunkt launches two new car stereos for the Indian market

      Driving long distances can be quite boring without a good music to accompany you on your trip. India being a strong market in the automotive sector, has also seen a manifold increase in demand of car accessories. Things have only got better with the presence of many international brands catering to domestic consumer needs. Blaupunkt has been a strong player among global car audio system makers. The company has also managed to build a strong brand presence in the Indian market as well.

      Blaupunkt India at a recent event in Mumbai has launched two new car stereos namely Tokyo 110 and Manchester 110 for the domestic market. The stereos are priced at about Rs. 4,990 and Rs. 5,990 respectively. In the international market, the both the players were launched sometime in July 2014, whereas now, it has just made an entry in the domestic market. Speaking more on the occasion, Preeti Bakshi, marketing head of Blaupunkt India, said: “With Tokyo and Manchester, Blaupunkt has once again demonstrated its ability to provide unmatched value across its product portfolio, be it in the high-end multimedia navigation space, sound solutions or with low-priced single-DIN radios like these. These models raise the bar on value, while lowering the price point for a quality car radio. After a phenomenal response worldwide, we expect these products to be very successful in the Indian market.”

      Blaupunkt’s Tokyo 110 and Manchester 110 players feature support for USB and SD card playback. For visual enhancement and convenience, they have received blue backlighting and remote controls respectively. Moreover, the players come with features like aux-in and FM/ AM capabilities. To keep the cost low, Bluetooth feature has been eliminated from these devices. Blaupunkt has launched these new players as economical in-car entertainment system in India. Most of high end entertainment systems from Blaupunkt come from Malaysia, but the Tokyo 110 and Manchester 110 shall be made in China. Both the players shall come with two-year warranty coverage.
