      Bajaj to launch three new Avenger variants in India this week

      Country's popular bikemaker Bajaj Auto is all geared up to launch the three new variants of the motorcycle in India this week. The bike has ruling the roost in under Rs 1 Lakh segment in India. Bajaj Avenger with about a decade old presence in India, has been a popular choice among young bikers. This time around with the new models on cards, it is likely to witness a further boost in sales.

      The new Bajaj Avenger shall be powered by 200cc engine borrowed from the Pulsar 200NS that generates about 23Bhp with about 18.3Nm of torque. In the past, Bajaj had upgraded the Avenger trim with bigger engine options with 200cc and 220cc engines. The upcoming model would be more powerful than the current version that generates only about 19Bhp of power with 19.5Nm of torque.

      The new model could be slightly pricier than the current generation and is likely to be offered around Rs 85,000 (Ex-showroom). One of the variant could also be offered with an optional ABS and a rear disc brake for maximum control.
