While commenting on the Pulsar’s success in the Indian auto market, the company said, "The (Pulsar) brand has crossed the landmark 5 million sales mark, while celebrating a decade of existence. Pulsar is the only brand in the performance segment which has crossed the 5 million mark in India."

According to Mr. K Srinivas, President (Motorcycle Business), of Bajaj Auto Limited, "Not many brands in the Indian automobile space have crossed the 5 million mark. This holds true even for mass motorcycles. The Pulsar range has received many accolades over the years."

Initially launched in 180 cc and 150 cc versions, the Bajaj Pulsar model is now available in a number of variants in the range of 135 cc to 220 cc. The bike has a market share of 44 percent in its segment in the country.
