Bajaj Auto seems all set to showcase its most advanced 100 cc motorcycle in the Indian auto market on January 7, 2013. According to reports, the company officials stated that the model will be priced more than its competitors. Post launch, the new model is expected to add to the array of Discover range. Industry experts also believe that the upcoming bike can be a reworked model of Platina. In 100-110 cc segment, the Indian two-wheeler market already has 13 motorcycles, which are delivering a stiff competition to each other.
Mahindra two-wheelers is also planning to offer one more bike to the Indian buyers, providing them more decent options to choose from. In September last year, Bajaj Auto came up with next generation Pulsar 200NS, which was a new sports bike that redefined the motorcycling technology of country. The new pulsar features state-of-the-art engine, which has established new benchmarks in performance and fuel efficiency.
It seems that the auto maker is unfazed by the sluggish market conditions witnessed by the two-wheeler segment during the first quarter of this fiscal. The company is planning to ramp up the production of its new Pulsar 200NS as it is looking forward to complete the country-wide roll out before August 2013.
With the launch of a new bike in 100 cc segment, Bajaj Auto seems to create a new benchmark in Indian two-wheeler segment by outpacing its strong competitor Hero MotoCorp.
