Avis Car Rental, one of the world's best car rental brands, has introduced its first showroom in Vadodara, Gujarat. Interestingly, with its new outlet, the company has expanded its footprints to around 20 cities and 45 locations. This has made it the most widespread network operator of rental car services in India.
Expressing his views on the same, the President (Latin America/Asia-Pacific) at Avis Budget Group, Patric Siniscalchi was quoted as saying, “With India now ranked as the world's third-largest economy, we see new opportunities to expand our network and range of services to more industrial and business centres throughout the country. We have invested in our India joint venture specifically to further expand our presence in this fast-growing vehicle rental market, and to improve our brand position in India by increasing our fleet and network there."
It must be noted that the outlets of Avis Car Rental are located in major down town areas of the country. Also, the company offers services like pick-up and drop-off service from major railway stations and airports. The package also includes special services like an option of both self-drive and chauffeur-driven cars, with a complete range of brands like Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen and Toyota, among others. The company has been operating in the Indian auto market for over 14 years with an array of around 2,000 premium cars. Also to mention, the company has a joint venture with The Oberoi Group, which is counted among the Asia's leading hospitality companies.
The Chief Executive Officer for Avis India, Sunil Gupta said, “Vadodara, the third largest city in Gujarat, is growing as an important hub for business and leisure. The opening of our new office was necessitated by more and more corporations coming to the city. We want to provide them with Avis' high-quality products and premium service here as well. We have expanded our network to bring our vehicles closer to where our customers are based. We now have an Avis India rental station located within five miles or less of any strategic corporate client location, thus making business rentals even more convenient.”
The expansion plans of Avis India include setting up of new service hubs in markets like Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Cochin. Reportedly, Avis India is known as the market leader in reliability and quality of service. Along with its new outlet in Vadodara, Avis India is operating in regions like Agra, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, New Delhi, Pune, Rishikesh, Shimla and Udaipur.
