      Automatic version of Hyundai Grand i10 launched at Rs. 5.95 lakh

      Hyundai India, the domestic division of South Korean auto maker, has introduced the automatic version of its Grand i10 hatchback for Rs. 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Reportedly, only the petrol version of Hyundai Grand i10 sports a four-speed automatic transmission system. The new model has been offered in two different trim levels, namely Sportz and Asta. The Sportz version has been equipped with a number of features, including integrated 2-DIN music system, electronic outer rear view mirrors, reverse parking sensors, push-start button and tilt steering, among others. Along with, the Asta variant offers few additional equipment like rear defogger, Bluetooth and alloy wheels, to name a few.

      It must be noted that the petrol version of Grand i10 comes equipped with a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Kappa engine, which has the potential to churn out maximum power of 82bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. After incorporation the automatic gearbox, the Sportz version is offered for Rs. 5.95 lakh, whereas Asta automatic is tagged with a price of Rs. 6.23 lakh. Sources close to the development process have revealed that the South Korean auto maker will also be soon launching the diesel version of Grand i10 with an automatic transmission option. The diesel version of Grand i10 is incorporated with a 2nd generation U2 1.1-litre engine, which has been mated to CRDi technology. It belts out a maximum power of 69 bhp with highest torque of 159 Nm.

      Industry experts are of a view that there are only a limited models in the Indian auto market, which have performed exceptionally well amid challenging conditions, and one of them is Hyundai Grand i10. Notably, Grand i10 was counted among the most talked about cars from the South Korean auto maker, before its launch in September 2013. Interestingly, the Grand i10 has been placed between the current generation i10 and i20 models, in order to fill in the void in hatchback segment of Indian auto market. Some of the key highlights of Grand i10 are its ergonomically designed seats, which ensures that passengers are offered with complete comfort and convenience.
