      2016 KTM RC 390 revealed at EICMA show

      KTM has been a popular pick among performance bike lovers across the globe. The EICMA show that kicked-off in Milan, Italy yesterday has been the venue where KTM has revealed the new RC 390 motorcycle. As compared to the current model, the new bike gets a some new technological upgrades. In the Indian market, it is likely to debut post the 2016 Auto Expo event in February where it may be showcased in the country.

      The 2016 KTM RC 390 gets a 373.2cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine that comes mated to six-speed transmission that generates about 43.4bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 35Nm torque at 7,250. The bike gets a new ride-by-wire technology that offers refined and enhanced ride quality. To enable quicker downshift KTM has added a slipper clutch. To meet Euro 4 emission norms the underbelly exhaust has been discarded and longer side mounted aluminium exhaust has been introduced.

      The 2016 KTM RC 390 gets 12mm thicker seat cushions. For maximum performance and control, the company has also offered disconnectable ABS. The front disc brakes are bigger than the current model measuring 320mm diameter, while the clutch lever and throttle are adjustable. The pricing aspect is not known for now, but it is believed that the new model could could carry a slightly heavier tag.

      KTM
