The Tata Safari Storme has won many hearts in the Indian market. Couple of months ago the automaker had launched a facelifted version that featured a 148bhp producing engine that is about 10bhp more powerful that the previous generation. For a while now, the one with VARICOR 400 badging has also been spotted thereby hinting on a powerful version being launched sometime soon.
The new Tata Safari Storme shall continue to be powered by the same 2.2-litre engine that may be tuned to deliver enhanced power output figures of about 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. It is believed that Tata Motors may introduce the new model only as a top-end Safari Storme variant. For now it is expected to offered with six-speed manual gearbox along with shift-on-the fly four-wheel drive, whereas automatic may be offered at a later date.
The new Tata Safari Storme if offered as a top-end trim, it could come loaded with features like centre armrest for rear seat passengers, steering-mounted controls, audio system with Aux, USB and Bluetooth compatibility. The SUV could also be offered with rear parking sensors along with further refined interiors. On the pricing aspect, it could be priced between Rs 14-15 Lakh.
