Volkswagen India is all set to launch the 2015 Vento facelift in the Indian market tomorrow (23rd June). The Volkswagen Vento facelift will take on the likes of Hyundai Verna facelift, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City
Power for the 2015 Vento facelift will come from the same three engines - a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel – that do duty to the current model. Though, all three engines have been tuned for better fuel efficiency. The company claims that the new Vento facelift will be 7.5% more fuel efficient than the outgoing model. Transmitting power to the front wheels is a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
On the exterior, the car features an all-new front fascia with Passat-inspired grille, modified front bumper and bonnet, horizontal fog lamps with integrated cornering lights and Jetta-inspired lower front. Though, the side profile remains largely unchanged. The rear gets new tail lights and revised rear bumper with a chrome strip.
Features on list are auto folding mirrors, a chilled glove box, cruise control, external boot release, a dead-pedal, electrically-operated outside rear-view mirrors with LED turn signals, etc. There will be two new color schemes - Cloud Titanschwarz (with Trendline and Comfortline trims) and Walnut Desert Beige (with Highline variant).
With better styling, rich interior and improved fuel efficiency, the 2015 VW Vento facelift will be slightly pricier than the current model.
