German luxury car manufacturer, Volkswagen will launch the new generation 2015 Jetta facelift in the country today. The vehicle made its global debut at the 2014 New York Motor Show, and is already on sale in select European and American markets. The company has slightly tweaked the exteriors of the 2015 Jetta, while the interior changes are very minimal.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift gets new front fascia with new triple slat grille with chrome inserts, new and more upscale bi-xenon lighting, revised bumpers with wide air intakes, new LED running lamps and an adaptive lighting system that follows the steering angle. At the rear, the sedan features restyled tail lamp assembly and reworked boot lid.

Inside the cabin, the VW Jetta facelift gets minimum changes such as new instrument panel, steering wheel and new upholstery for seats. The International spec model is equipped with some advanced safety features such as blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, front collision warning and parking assist. Other safety features include airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD, etc. The sedan will rival against the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta will continue to be offered in three trim levels- Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. While the petrol model is propelled by the same 1.4-litre TSI unit that is good for 122bhp and 200Nm of torque, the oil burner is the 2.0-litre TDI turbo diesel unit that churns our 138bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm. Both six-speed manual and twin-clutch DSG automatic transmission will be on offer.
