The global debut of the Skoda Fabia, third generation is scheduled for October this year at the Paris Motor Show. The production has already started at the primary factory of this Czech based automobile manufacturer at Mlada Boleslav. The first model of the 2015 Fabia was finished in a Racing Blue tinge and it rolled off the final inspection at the production line, which received a standing ovation from the employees. Incidentally, the plant here was refurbished by a significant margin with paint shops, assemble lines and body shops. The production will soon begin in full flow now that everything has been settled.
Skoda Fabia has got its mind blowing and elegant design from the VisionC concept. The car has been given a bold and strong front fascia. The trademark Skoda grille is in its usual place and together with the large headlamps; it is the first thing that strikes your eyes about the third generation automobile. The headlamps will feature LED daytime running lights, which have now become almost a mandate in modern hatchbacks. The third generation version has been made wider and shorter than the outgoing version; however, the interior space has been increased for more comfort of passengers. A number of features have been included in the upcoming variant like the SmartGate feature, MirrorLink technology and smartphone connectivity. Skoda is also looking forward to introducing a number of customer customisation options available for the new Fabia.
The engine of the Fabia is the 1.2 litre four-cylinder TSI mill, which will be capable of producing power in the range of 60 PS to 110 PS. On the other hand, the 1.4 litre 3-cylinder TDI motor will be available for three different tuning states right from a power output of 75 PS up to 105 PS. Start-Stop system will be incorporated in all the new variants of Fabia, so will be the Brake Energy Recuperation System. A manual as well as DSG automatic transmission system has been installed. Skoda has declared that the all-new Fabia will consume approximately 17 per cent less fuel as compared to its predecessor. This has been fairly due to the advantage of reduced weight of the new model.
