Ultra-luxury car maker, Porsche has revealed the 2015 Cayenne and Cayenne GTS ahead of the official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Porsche described the GTS as “sporty model”, which is equipped with a Sport Design package. The Sport Design package includes extended wheel arches and restyled side skirts.
The Cayenne GTS features tinted lighting units, 20-inch alloy wheels, sport exhaust system, high performance brakes and Porsche Active Suspension Management system. The height has been reduced by 20-24mm to offer better driving experience. Interior changes are minimal, but the vehicle gets leather and Alcantara sports seats as well as GTS-branded headrests.
Under the hood is the twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 engine that churns out a maximum power output of 440PS and 600Nm of top torque, which is an increase of 20PS and 85Nm respectively. It does 0-100kmph in mere 5.2 seconds or 5.1 seconds with optional Sport Chrono package, and hits a top speed of 261kmph.
The entry-level Cayenne model features a 3.6-litre V6 motor that produces 300PS of top power, and is mated to a new eight-speed Tiptronic S Transmission. It accelerates to 100kmph from zero in 7.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230kmph.
