Yamaha Motor Co has put forward a new smartphone application – RevTranslator, which will translate the sound of engines to auto set phrases for communication between the bike and the rider. The English version of this application is already available on App Store and Google Play for free download.

Bike experts must be knowing that vehicles have good performing and bad performing days, as well. However, unless every rider is an expert, it is almost impossible to understand the difference just by the mere sound of the engine. As a result, it becomes almost incommunicable for the bike. This smartphone application is an innovative software that will translate the language of bikes to human language and work as a connecting link between the two. The Japanese version of this application has already been released and has become a huge hit with the riders, there.

The application works on a simple basic information input and output method. It records the sound of the engine and feeds in other small information like the weather conditions, bike speed and time of the day. On the basis of this information, it is able to communicate with the rider with one of the 100 preset phrases. For the fun of it, the bike can be given a male character or a female character. It is definitely funny to hear to what your engine says.

The global brand slogan for Yamaha is Revs Your Heart, where revs signify those of an engine. This slogan is the drive of this brand to introducing new and exciting aspects to their products to rev up the hearts of their global customers. The development of this smartphone application is a sure step in that direction and can be made great use to understand your high-performing bikes better.
