      Yamaha introduces the FZ-S, Fazer and FZ with vibrant colours and new graphics

      Yamaha Motor announced the launch of its FZ, FZ-S and Fazer in new colours and graphics. In the 150 cc segment, the FZ series excels because of its looks, and comfort it provides to the riders. The new variants of the FZ series are not only advanced in terms of technology but also are stylish in design. Apart from vibrant colours and graphics, new features are added to the latest variants of FZ-S and Fazer. Usage of exciting graphics provides a sporty and attractive look to the bikes.

      Pillion seat of the two variants is longer and wider. A stylish grab bar is also provided in the bikes for back rest. It proves useful as the pillion rider can hold it in case of jerks on bumpy roads. To prevent mud splash, a large and wide rear fender is provided in the bikes. No loose cloth can get stuck on the chain of the bikes due to the availability of a new chain protector. FZ is provided with a new meter console in a Full Liquid Crystal Display. The fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer and other indicators are placed in the correct position for the convenience of the rider.

      Speaking about the bikes, Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor, said, “Since the launch of FZ series in 2008, these bikes have gained immense popularity amongst customers, especially youngsters. The launch of new variants in FZ series is a clear illustration of how the market has responded to our bikes in this series. Our strategic intent is to provide customers with stylish variant to suite his fashion statement and personality. These bikes have been instrumental in catapulting our sales to an altogether new level. We have kept the essence of FZ series bikes intact while altering the aesthetics to exemplify the masculine feeling these tough machines are known for. We are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts.”

      The new FZ-S will be available with a price tag of Rs. 71,280 whereas, Fazer will be priced Rs. 76,380. New FZ will be offered with a price tag of Rs. 69,250 (All prices are Ex-showroom Delhi). The company is quite positive about the launch of the FZ series variants, and hence made a well defined promotional strategy. TV, Print and Web would extensively used for promoting the new variants of FZ series. The company will take the help of its brand advisor John Abraham who will be the main element of the entire promotion campaign.

      FZ series bikes are designed and engineered to provide maximum excitement of around-town street-riding. Keeping in mind the preference of the end users, the company has used vibrant colours and sporty graphics. Further, customization has also been done to cater to the needs of the riders. Yamaha targets the young customers, who are confident, brand conscious and wants something good in life.

      Yamaha started its operation in India in the year 1985, and in August 2001, it became a complete subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd, Japan (YMC). In order to become a joint-investor in India Yamaha Motor Private Limited (IYM), the motorcycle manufacturing company, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. entered into an alliance with YMC in 2008.

      IYM has is manufacturing plant at Faridabad in Haryana and Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh, which helps it supply motorcycles to domestic and international customers. Backed by a team of 2,000 employees, IYM lays its maximum focus on satisfying the customers. It has more than 400 dealerships, which helps it supply its motorcycles across the country.

      At present, the company offers YZF-R1 (998cc), FZ1 (998cc), VMAX (1,679cc), MT01 (1,670cc), FZ (153cc), SZ, SZ-X & SZ-R (153cc), Fazer (153cc), and FZ-S (153cc) bikes. Other offerings of the company are SS125 (123cc), YBR 125 (123cc), YZF-R15 Version 2.0 (150cc), YBR 110 (106cc) and Crux (106cc).
