      Volvo India to open four new showrooms by month end

      In a bid to enhance its footprint in India, Swedish premium car maker, Volvo will open four new showrooms in India by the end of May. Volvo eyes opening showrooms in four metropolitan cities in the country which includes capital city New Delhi, Chandigarh, Surat and Kolkata.

      These new showrooms will be conceived on the company’s traditional Scandinavian design. The entire range of Volvo cars will be made available at these showrooms which comprise of Volvo V40 Cross Country, Volvo S60, Volvo S80, Volvo XC60 and Volvo XC90. In Delhi, Volvo Showroom will be located in West part of the city and will be owned by Volvo’s existing dealer Swede Auto. While the Surat showroom will be owned by yet another concurrent dealer of Volvo, Autobots. Chandigarh Showroom on the other hand will be run by Krishna Group, they have been in the automobile business for around 47 years. In Kolkata, the showroom will be managed by OSL Scandinavian, a part of OSL Group.

      Speaking on the company’s plan to open new showrooms in four major cities of India, Managing Director of Volvo India, Mr. Tomas Ernbery said that raising the bar a notch up of the company’s philosophy, ‘designed around you’ Volvo will induct four new showrooms in major cities of the country. He further said that this would introduce customers to new Volvo retail experience at four new locations. He also said that the company is confident that new dealers will help expanding market share of the company in the country and will enable to create more patrons for the brand. With 15 functional dealerships spread across 15 key cities in India, Volvo hopes to see surge in sales and make its presence felt in the premium vehicle segment of domestic market.
